6.1 Cleaning Lifts & Stairs-Internal

Sweep the stair or vacuum the stairs using “Back Pack”.

Stairs should be free of dirt, dust, grit, cobwebs, rubbish and marks and have a clean appearance.

Damp mop using general purpose detergent and warm water. Leave stairs as dry as possible to prevent people slipping on cleaned surface.

Rails and skirting to be free of dust and marks.

Wipe hand rails and skirting’s with damp cloth using general purpose detergent and warm water.

Walls should be dust and finger mark free.

Remove marks from walls using spot clean techniques.

6.2 Cleaning-Entrance
